Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween. It was more like a week of Halloween. Carter got dressed up and went as a Pirate. He had a hard time deciding. He went from a dinosaur to Buzz Lightyear to a skeleton and finally a pirate, he was an adorable pirate. We started the week with a dress up party at Preschool on Thursday, then visiting the businesses in town for Nephi's Halloween Town on Friday and Trick or Treating on Saturday. Baby Darrin was dressed as a Pumpkin but feel asleep in his car seat every time we went out so I never got a good picture of him. We had a great time got loaded up with Candy. Carter has been really good to share his candy with mom and dad.

I told Carter to make a pirate face and this is what he came up with.

Carter got to Trick or Treat his Dad at the Hospital.

Trick or Treating at Halloween Town with his friends Gavin and Maddox. (Both dressed up as Buzz Lightyear)

Trick or Treating in Fayette. Gabby is a cute witch, Aiden is a Race Car Driver, Ian is a Monster and Carter is a Pirate.

Righteous Bandz

Just thought I would share this LINK It's for a really fun new product called Righteous Bandz. It's a spiritual take on the ever popular silly bandz. Why not stand for something when you are trying to stay with the trend. It's a great idea for Primary, Baptism Gifts, Activity Days or anyone that is L.D.S. Check out their website or look for them on Facebook for more information.

Darrin Brett Gledhill

We are happy to announce the arrival of our sweet little boy. He was born October 2nd 2010 at exactly 3:00 PM. He weighed 8lbs 10oz and decided to take his own time getting here. He was exactly one week past his due date. It just made us all that more anxious to get him here. Carter loves being a big brother. He is always concerned when "his" baby cries. Carter will even go get stories to read to Darrin. We love our happy little family.

Carter is 3!

For his Birthday Breakfast I told Carter he could have whatever he wanted. He asked for Captain Crunch, Scrambled Eggs and a Big Carrot that hasn't been cut.

He had a "Bug" themed Birthday Party. We went on a Bug hunt where we found some neat plastic bugs in the grass.

We helped the caterpillar grow. By playing Pin the spot on the Caterpillar.

We did a Lady Bug Pinata. It wasn't the best combination to have three year olds a well built pinata and a foam bat.

So Carter ended up jumping on the pinata.

The next day we had a family party. Carter almost shares a bithday with his Papa Bob so they shared a cake. We had so much fun having Grandpa's and Grandma's and cousins come help us celebrate Carter's Birthday. He is a great kid and we love him so much.

Grandpa & Grandma Jensen's

We have had a wonderful longstanding tradition of a BBQ and watching fireworks at Grandpa & Grandma Jensens sometime over the fourth of July Holiday. This year was no exception we enjoyed a great dinner cooked by my Grandpa and then a great fireworks show provided by the pyro-loving teenage cousins.

Fourth of July Fun

We had a wonderful Fourth of July. We were able to go visit Jordan, Stacey & Lincoln in Enoch. We did so many fun things including, going to the movies, watching fireworks, parades, candy, family, ice cream and so much more. We had a wonderful time. It was a great getaway. Thanks Jordan and Stacey for being such gracious hosts. We loved it.

Girl's Trip to St George

We had a Bown Girls trip to St George. It was a great trip. We all meet up in Cedar City for lunch then headed to the hotel in St. George. We lounged around the pool until it was time to get ready for the Play. We got all ready and went for a night out on the town. We went to Cafe Rio for dinner. (You can't go wrong with anything at Cafe Rio) The night was topped off by an awesome performance of Tarzan at Tuacahn. What an awesome show. I loved the entire thing. We had great seats and the weather was perfect. The next day we relaxed by the pool and enjoyed a late check out. We decided to splurge and go get pedicures at a Cosmetology School. Even my Grandma who hasn't ever had one in her life got one. Thanks Bown Girls for making it such a wonderful trip.

Enjoying the pool.

Waiting for Tarzan to Start

Grandma getting her nails painted for the first time in her life. (She deserves it)

We love the Zoo

Brett still works for ARUP occasionally so on the day that he had to work it was also ARUP day at the zoo. I was lucky enough to spend the day with my cousins Amber and Brittany. We enjoyed a picnic in the park and also feed the ducks. I really enjoyed spending time with my cousins. Amber has an adorable little boy named Jackson who is a very happy little boy. We had such a great time I forgot to get my camera out. Thanks for the fun. After Brett got off work we headed up to the Zoo. We were able to see the bird show, ride the carousal over and over again and see all of the animals. We love the Zoo.

Art in the Park

Nephi has an awesome day called "Art in the Park" It is a fun day filled with lots of creative art inspired projects and activities. Carter's cousin's Gabby, Aiden and Abby came to enjoy the fun. The day included a puppet show, pirate hats, cookie decorating, learning the "Chicken Dance" It was a really fun and the kids talked about it for along time.

A Boy!

I am super behind at updating my blog. We had our ultrasound and found out that we are having a boy! We are so excited to be adding another little guy to our family. We had a great ultrasound. He kept sucking his thumb through out the whole thing. It was adorable to watch. Carter is set on naming him Nemo.

Easter Eggs

What is more fun than a wide open grassy field full of Candy and Plastic Eggs? In a two year old's opinion NOTHING! We went to the Nephi town Easter Egg Hunt an had a great time Gathering Eggs and meeting the Easter Bunny.

Showing me his bucket full of treats.

Carter and the Easter Bunny

Carter's first adventure in coloring Easter Eggs. He did very good. I was afraid he was going to spill but he was very careful. Thank Heavens!!!

The Final Product!

Happy St Patrick's Day

We had a very fun St Patrick's Day. We had a great breakfast of Green Pancakes with strawberries and Whip Cream. Carter wasn't sure about eating Green Pancakes but after one bite he decided that they were great. Later during the day we had a special present at our front door from our Friendly Leprechaun. It was a sack of cookies and Green Balloons.

Perfect Day at the Zoo

We had such a perfect day at the Zoo. We went on a Monday Morning and basically had the zoo to ourselves. The animals were very active and playful. We meet my college room-mate Missy and her adorable kids at the zoo. It was a perfect day.

I think they "Measure up" quite well

What a great day. Carter loved it. I will definitely go during the winter or Spring again.

April Fools Day Confession

Ok so I better confess. I ended going in to the Doctor for a routine checkup and he couldn't find the heart-beat so he scheduled me for a quick ultrasound to check. We found the baby just fine and the ultrasound technician was so much fun. She was more than willing to help me make a Twin Ultrasound. It turned out perfect. We had a great day "April Fooling" our friends and family. So just one bundle of joy for us. But Happy April Fools day everyone.

Twins!

I went in for a regular checkup today. The Doctor was having a hard time finding the heartbeat so he sent me down to get an ultrasound. Look what we found!

Casey's Farewell

Casey's Farewell was February 21, 2010. He had a lot of support from his family and friends.
Casey gave a good talk, his subject was "Let Virtue Garnish thy Thoughts." He talked about lessons he learned while working on the farm and "Enjoying time in the mountains with his dad." He talked about what has helped him prepare to serve a mission. It was a good talk with a lot of laughs and also a spiritual aspect. We enjoyed hearing his testimony and about how excited he is to serve our Heavenly Father as a Missionary.

We will miss him lots but know that he is doing the right thing by serving a Mission.

Vacation!!!

We went on a great family vacation to spend some time with my little brother before he leaves on his mission. We went on an awesome cruise to the Mexican Rivera. We got on the Sapphire Princess and enjoyed just relaxing and having a good time. I really needed to relax after being put in as Primary President and Christmas and New Years it was nice to be pampered and spend some great quality time with Brett who has worked so hard for our family.

On the boat we enjoyed going to the movies, playing shuffle board (every night), hot tubing, amazing food, having a room steward come in and clean our room every night and morning, whale watching, playing cards on the balcony, reading books, sleeping in, staying up late, taking naps, getting a tan, and watching the sunset.

Off the boat we enjoyed going snorkeling, zip-lining through the jungle, taking tours of Mexico, glass bottom boats, playing on the beach, buying jewelery and junk, great weather, warm sandy beaches, and awesome memories. Thanks mom and dad we will never forget the awesome memories we made. Casey we will miss you lots over the next two years but know you will be a great missionary.

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas at Brett's Parents house. We had a great time on Christmas eve watching the classic Christmas shows including It's a wonderful life, The Christmas Story and A Christmas Carol (The Disney Version). We had a great time and opened pj's from Grandma and got the kids to bed so Santa could come. Christmas morning Santa did find us and also dumped his sleigh. Carter got the backhoe that he wanted so bad. Lincoln got a basketball hoop and Grandma got a Laptop. It was such a fun morning. Carter loved everything about Christmas. He made Christmas even more fun.

After Carter had a good nap we headed down to Alisa's Parents for another round of Christmas fun. We had our traditional Christmas Breakfast for dinner. We ate waffles and ham. We then read from Luke about our Saviors birth. My Grandpa and Grandma Jensen came and watched us open presents. We had a wonderful Christmas day. The day after Christmas we went to my Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's to open Christmas Presents. We missed their Christmas Eve Party. We enjoyed visiting and eating some Christmas Snacks. We then headed over to my Grandma Bown's for the Bown Family Christmas Party. We all have so much fun together. There are usually some crazy things that happen there. One year a duck flew out of a present but this year it was topped with 7 white doves. It was a crazy mad house for a few minutes but was so much fun and we all had some good laughs.
