Light Parade

Nephi has a really cool light parade on the weekend after Thanksgiving the kids loved it. It was so much fun that we didn't really even notice the cold.

Carter all bundled up

Carter's cousins Gabby and Aiden came to enjoy the show.

Santa showed up on a fire engine to start the parade.

We had a great time and ended the fun with Hot Chocolate at our house.

Santa Claus is coming to town.

We have been preparing Carter for Santa this year. We talked about how he wants us to be good and if we are really good he might bring us a toy. I asked him what he wanted Santa to bring him and with out any hesitation he said "A backhoe" Christmas has been so much fun this year. Carter makes everything so much more fun. I am lucky to be a mom to such a funny little boy.

Carter with his letter to Santa!

Carter has an Awesome Grandpa who helps Santa Claus come to town every year.

Great Great Grandma Nielson

Carter is so lucky to have a Great Great Grandma. She is a wonderful caring person she will be turning 98 this January. I have some really fun memories of Family Reunions where she was out on the wave runners well over 85. She loves her family very much and the Church is one of the most important things in her life. I hope to be like her if I make it to that age. She is still as sharp as ever. We love you Grandma Nielson.

Halloween Fun!

We had a great, yummy, fun, not so spooky Halloween. It turned out to be perfect weather, which was surprising because it had been so cold and even snowing just days before. Carter was dressed up as a dragon but half the time he was a dragon and the other half he was a dinosaur so he was an official dragonasaurus. No matter what he was he was adorable. The costume that I got for him was a size 2 to 4 which I thought would be huge but it was so small on him I had to do a little adjusting. We did a little trick or treating around our neighborhood and then went to Fayette to visit Grandparents and Great Grandparents and Trick or Treat a few neighbors. Carter's favorite part of Halloween was of course the candy and being dressed up.

Chicken Nuggets

Cheep 99 cent chicken nuggets are one of Carter's favorite things and quick easy dinner on our way home sometimes. We'll when Carter is sitting in the back seat I just have to assume that he is eating his food like a normal person. When I turned around to see how he was doing I saw little pieces of chicken nuggets hanging out of the end of his nose. He was shoving little pieces of chicken up his nose. I told him to stop right away and I thought "my crazy little boy" then went home and laughed it off. Well the next day I talked to a friend whose little boy had just shoved chocolate chips up his nose and took him to the ER. The doctor was really glad he came in and told her how dangerous things up kids noses can be. To top it off I also saw the Dr. OZ episode on the Triangle of Death. Well I took Carter into the Doctor and sure enough there were pieces of chicken up his nose. He was put on nose spray and antibiotics. Thankfully he is doing great no chicken nugget side effects as far as we can tell.

Who knew what you could find in a corn maze...

In honor of the day Brett and I meet I thought I would do a quick post about our fun anniversary. I talked my roommates into going to a corn maze that the Institute at College was sponsoring. When we got there they were pairing people off and wrapping their arms together. I was more than happy to be tied up to this really tall cute guy. We had a great time talking the whole way through the maze. We talked about everything from his mission, dislikes, likes, and family. We really clicked. Towards the end of the maze I was noticing how fast Brett was making the turns. I asked him how he knew which way he was going he admitted that he had just been on a date their the week before with another girl. But to make up for it he also said that he was having a lot more fun there with me. (ahhhh what a cutie) He offered me a ride home and was such a gentleman and opened my door for me both times. I was very impressed. We both hinted to each other that a Halloween date would be fun for tomorrow. The next day he called and took me to the Haunted Forest in American Fork. I tease him that he knew he would be able to hold my hand if he took me to a scary place. To which he always replys I knew what I was doing. Little to say Halloween isn't so scary to me, its a great Holiday because it brings back such fun memories. I am really lucky to have such a great husband. He is a wonderful dad to Carter. I love him very much. So Happy Aniversary to Brett and to everyone else have a Happy Halloween.
